What is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a state of mind that can be induced in a variety of ways. Once in this state, you are more open to suggestions as the incoming information or metal stimulus goes directly to your subconscious mind. Where as in normal state, the information comes into the conscience mind where you filter and place judgments on the value of the information being received.

What can Hypnosis do for me? What makes hypnotherapy special is its ability to reach and re-program your subconscious mind. Behaviors, habits and beliefs that hold you back from a happier, more fulfilling and more successful life can be neutralized.

Is it Safe ? Hypnosis is not only a reliable and quick means of re-programming behaviors, it is very safe. When done with a qualified professional in a relaxed and confidential environment, you are never out of control but simply allowing some one to assist you in some area of your life you want to change.

Can I be made to do or say things I don't want to ? No. Even though the hypnotherapist talks to your subconscious mind, your personal and ethical standards are still with you. If some conflict is created, your subconscious will make a selection based on your personal and ethical standards.

Are the effects of Hypnotherapy temporary or permanent? Generally speaking, the effects are designed to be permanent. In many cases, the suggestions for change, may need to be re-enforced in subsequent sessions as your conscious mind may need some more persuading.

How long does treatment last? Hypnosis is designed to be a brief therapy. Work on single problems generally take from 3-5 sessions. This can vary with individuals as There are several factors. These include. Expectations; How long the problem has persisted; Rapport between yourself and hypnotherapist; Desire and Commitment you bring with you. Many people return to work out other problem areas once they see results from there original complaint.
